Biography
Shawn has been studying the Shakuhachi for 15 years plus. Beginning his study around 2004 in Los Angeles. With sensei Kaoru Kakizaki, and for the past 8 years he has been traveling back and forth from the United States to Japan to further his study and become Shihan, in the Kinko School. As well he has studied with Tozan teacher Bill Shozan. He also has a passion for making Shakuhachi both jiari and jinashi Shakuhachi. At his workshop in Northern Los Angeles California.
